MURALS
A selection of large scale black and white photographic drawings.
My artwork sits on the boundary of photography and drawing by using photographic processes to create imagery that questions the differing temporality of the two mediums. Multiple layers of drawings are entwined into the photographic medium and held in time within the moment of a photographic print. The drawings become filled with a nervous kinetic energy as I predominantly focus on imagery found in urban environments. The artwork leads the viewer into an ambiguous temporal realm by focusing on the extended time of a single moment. The differing temporality of each medium utilizes the differences between photography and drawing.
